Being in touch with good players is one of the most important and interesting aspects of my work. It is them who put instruments to the ultimate test. Also I have learned a great deal about playing from them. This aspect is closely linked to violin making for me because when judging an instrument there is not only the listening side to it, which constantly needs training, but also the "feel factor". To me how an instrument feels when you play it can tell you more than you can actually put in words. Therefore I also use every opportunity to try good instruments and discuss them with their owners.

Customers who have bought some of my instruments include Erich Höbarth (Concert Master Concentus Musicus, Quatuor Mosaiques, Vienna String Sextett), Lukas Hagen (Hagen Quartett, Mozarteum Salzburg), Iris Hagen (Chamber Orchestra of Europe) and Pieter Schoeman (Leader London Philharmonic Orchestra). We are very happy that they have also become our personal friends and keep us close to the lovely music they make. Also, I have been very lucky to be in touch with players like Irvine Arditti, David Ballesteros, Daniel Bard, Julia Beisswanger, Joshua Bell, Donata Böcking, Regina Carter, Krzysztof Chorzelski, Sebastian Danicic (for hosting generous chamber music sessions), Isabelle Faust, Siegfried Führlinger, Michaela Girardi, Chloë Hanslip, Manuel Hofer, Ellen Jewett, David Juritz, Barna Kobari, Felix Korsch, Stephan Mayer, Barennie Moon, Ludwig Müller, Gordan Nikolich, Rachel Podger, Thomas Riebel, Laura Samuel, Benjamin Schmid, Gerhard Schultz, Petra Schwieger, Kio Seiler, Krzysztof Smietana, Marija Spengler, David Takeno, Christian Tetzlaff, Maxim Vengerov, Johannes Wels, Lisa Werhan, Carolin Widmann and Pinchas Zukerman and would like to thank them for pushing my level up constantly by trying out my new instruments and giving me useful comments.

Last but not least I would like to thank Gül for encouraging me on a daily basis by listening to workshop talk and future project plans, being there for me with customers, trying new instruments and also for giving me a hand when I am working to a close deadline!
